Charity Place Runner?

A fundraising target can feel more intimidating than running 26.2 miles!  Drawing on 14 years as a Charity CEO and my own experience raising thousands as a charity-place runner, I can also coach you through the fundraising.

Extra Help for Charity Runners
A BIT ABOUT ME

A friendly, realistic approach to your first (or next) 26.2.

I’m Sarah, the Jones in GoodThinkingJones, and I believe that taking on a marathon should be one of the best things you’ve ever done, not something awful you have to endure to prove a point!

I help less-experienced runners build the fitness, mindset, and confidence to stand on that start line with a calm confidence and cross the finish line with a smile that lasts for days.

If you’re looking for professional accessible expertise, you’re in the right place.

Real Stories From The Start Line

Stian Saur Sub-3:30 Marathoner Norway

Talking to Sarah gave me the confidence to trust my training and secure a big 30min PB in Berlin 2025.  I even smiled the whole way round!  I finished with my fastest two km, feeling physically and mentally strong.

Cara Walker First-Time Marathoner Manchester

I didn’t know if I had it in me, but Sarah gave me the confidence that I could do this. I’ve gained a mental change that makes me feel like I have superpowers—I'm even trying things like CrossFit now!

Sarah Clatworthy Iron Man Triathlete

I've used many methods to try and improve my mental game during running , but had no success until I met Sarah.  My sessions with her have led to more enjoyable running and improved performance.

Clare McGrory 1st Time Marathoner Waterloo

People might assume that it's common sense, but you've really plugged a gap for me where lack of experience could have caused problems.  It's been an emotional ride but you've kept me positive and on track.  I'm loving it!

Questions

Thinking about coaching? Start here.

  • It's especially for you!  Lots of people find it hard to call themselves a runner- even people who've ran marathons in the past!  Please don't wait until you think you're 'good enough' to deserve a coach.

Working with me will give you the confidence to back yourself when it counts!

  • The short answer? It depends on your goals and where you're starting from. The real value of working with a coach like me is helping you work out what’s truly important. When you are clear on this, it's much easier to find the time you need!  I've got years of experience helping people fit marathon training around a busy life. As well as the mindset stuff and the practical tips, I have the expertise to create a training plan that achieves your goals.
  • I offer sliding scale for different needs- starting from a simple training plan you can trust, through to a comprehensive course (with accountability), weekly coaching calls and one-to-one support. There's also our WhatsApp community and ongoing membership (warning - lovely marathons are quite addictive)!
